Yes to fun! This was my first year to do Bolder Boulder, and I will be back because that race is a moving party/celebration of running - more of that in running, please 🎉
I ran it the first time because my sister said the hills would be “too hard for me”, don’t do it 😜had a great time! Only went back because of wanting cool weather knowing the race itself is not fun. Doing it this year because my husband got into the NYC marathon and needs a 1/2 . Nothing that exciting like a chili dog 🌭 opportunity like LA
This brings me so much joy! Here’s to giving damn and embracing fun. I’m a recovering sprinter so not yet a marathoner, but I lived in Chicago for 15 years with mile 10 nearby. Our neighborhood showed up for the marathon, and the whole city stopped to have one big party. SF is special to me b/c of so much time spent there with my grandmother. Do let us all know what support looks like for you all and this project. In the meantime, thank you!
That's so awesome you are doing this. The on course support and fun is what can make the marathon experience so special. And also.. why is the SF marathon $500??? That seems wild. The Boston Marathon entry fee is only $260 ...

Fully support this! Bay to breakers draws everyone, why can’t the SF marathon do the same?
