Loved reading this, Kathryn! Yes to talking more about periods and also mentioning both Kara Goucher and running books; I'm eager to read her tell-all book about Nike! I'm also currently strength training specifically for running and I agree, the DOMS are a pain in the arse. How am I supposed to get faster if my muscles are always sore? I have found though that the more I strength train, the less sore I'm getting so my runs feel more comfortable. Apparently magnesium helps a lot with muscle soreness (and sleep!). Love the newsletter 🥰🌞😎

ah love kara! i keep meaning to listen to her podcast w/ des linden on a run because i love them both. i will probably forever hate strength training but one day a week seems to be tolerable for now (i say through gritted teeth, lol) and yes, thank god for magnesium!
